Town&Country Hosts Dinner At Eight

On October 13, 2009, Hearst Magazines unveiled the latest edition of its Designer Visions program, “Cinema Style at SoHo Mews”. Renowned designers took inspiration from their favorite movies and transformed three New York City townhouses in those films’ styles.

Town&Country partnered with iconic designer Richard Mishaan, who took his cues from the film Dinner at Eight to create a modern-day interpretation of the 1930s frothy comedy. House Beautiful and Thom Filicia themed their home after The Big Chill, and VERANDA and John Saladino drew inspiration from Girl with a Pearl Earring.

Among the 800 guests, the opening night gala drew actress Sela Ward, Fine Living Networks’ Lloyd Boston, fashion designer Richie Rich and lifestyle expert Colin Cowie. Guests enjoyed signature cocktails and hors d’oeuvres as they explored the three homes and opened the doors to their own design inspirations.
