East Anglian Brewers The thirty-six-member cooperative organization of independent local brewers formed in 2002. You can construct your own Napa-style beer tour on the rudimentary Web site. Ickburgh; 1842-878-922; eastanglianbrewers.com.

Norwich Cathedral The Romanesque cathedral is one of Europe's most impressive, and the grounds are beautiful. 12 The Close, Norwich; 1603-218-300; cathedral.org.uk.

Oxburgh Hall The Bedingfeld family has lived in the moated brick manor house, with its eighty-foot-tall gatehouse, for half a millennium. Oxburgh, near King's Lynn; 1366-328-258; nationaltrust.org.uk.

Poppy Line Train Ride a steam train on five-and-a-half miles of narrow-gauge tracks. 1263-820-800; nnrailway.co.uk.

Sainsbury Centre For Visual Arts Housed in one of Lord Foster's first notable works is a world-class museum with permanent collections and changing exhibits. University of East Anglia, Norwich; 1603-593-199; scva.ac.uk.

Sandringham From Easter through October, you can tour the main ground-floor rooms of Queen Elizabeth II's country retreat. Don't miss the collection of royal vehicles. 1553-612-908; sandringham-estate.co.uk.

Titchwell Marsh Bird Sanctuary Here you'll find an important outpost of the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds. Titchwell Marsh; 1485-210-779; rspb.org.uk.

Bakers & Larners This ideal of a provincial department store has a bit of everything, but it's the food hall that everyone remembers. 8–12 Market Place, Holt; 1263-712-323.

Cley Smokehouse Locals drive from near and far for house-smoked seafood of all kinds. Cley-next-the-Sea; 1263-740-282.

Holt Antique Centre One of the best of many such places, the huge two-story converted corn crib houses six dealers. Albert Hall, 35 Albert St., Holt; 1263-712-097.

Little Beer Shop This is a new source of local ales on the capital's outskirts. Blofield Leisure Village, 58 Yarmouth Rd., Blofield, near Norwich; 1603-717-197.

Old Town Unique country-hip clothing with timeless appeal is made to order for remarkably reasonable rates. 49 Bull St., Holt;1263-710-001.

Real Ale Shop Visit one of the top places to find bottles by local brewers. Branthill Farm, Wells-next-the-Sea; 1328-710-810.

Wells Deli An abundance of artisanal products is squashed into a dear little store. 15 The Quay, Wells-next-the-Sea; 1328-711-171.
