The idyllic summer destination of Kennebunkport, Maine, now has another draw: the spa at the historic White Barn Inn. Originally a 19th-century farmhouse, the twenty-nine-room, antiques-filled inn is a classic romantic New England retreat. The mood extends to its four-room spa, tucked away in a wing of the main house, where the couples' massage room has a gas fireplace and an infinity tub. The comprehensive menu includes hot-stone massage therapy ($160 for one hour) with smooth rocks from the nearby Kennebunk River and facials (from $140) using a high-performance line from celebrity skin-care guru Sonya Dakar. Treatments aren't just for landlubbers: those who dock their yachts at the property's new Wharf Marina, nearby, can request onboard massages for an extra fee. Rooms from $345; 207-967-2321; whitebarninn.com.
